Printable Rules (word doc) | Registration and Liability Waiver (word doc)

This is a private home, not a public park! Your use of the exercise area is provided as a courtesy by the property owner and can be terminated or revoked at any time, for any reason.

The following rules apply to all visiting dogs, their owners/handlers, and any accompanying friends or family members:

  1. Registration and Waiver – You must complete the registration form / liability waiver before you will be admitted for your first visit.

  2. Hours and Availability – There is no guarantee of hours or availability. Except for scheduled playgroups (see website for dates and times), you must contact the property owner for an appointment. Visiting the property without prior approval will be considered trespassing.

  3. Spay/Neuter – We prefer that all dogs in play groups are spayed or neutered. Owners of intact dogs are welcome to schedule private exercise times and may participate in play groups on a case by case basis. No females in heat.

  4. Vaccinations – All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations (rabies, DHLPP) as recommended by your vet. Proof of vaccination required for entry. We accept the 3-year vaccination protocol and/or titers, as well as the traditional yearly vaccination schedule. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination recommended.

  5. Dog License – A current dog license is required for entry, and ideally should be affixed to your dog's flat collar at all times.

  6. Leashes and Training Collars – Dogs must be on a leash when outside the fenced area. Please remove prong or choke collars while your dog is playing, as they could become snagged and cause injury. Dogs in training may drag a long line if needed, as long as it does not present any safety concerns. Remote training collars / e-collars may be used, but make sure they are waterproof!

  7. Parasites; illnesses – Your dog must be free of parasites, including fleas, ticks, and worms. Dogs showing any sign of illness, including but not limited to vomiting or diarrhea, are not permitted on the premises. Although we attempt to screen out potential problems, we cannot guarantee that your dog will not pick up parasites, contagious diseases, or other illnesses while on the premises.

  8. Supervision and Conduct of Dogs & Children – You must supervise your dog(s) and children at all times. Dogs must be leashed when outside the fenced area. Digging, excessive barking, and bullying are not permitted. Handlers must be at least 18 years of age. No more than three dogs and/or children per adult. We strongly suggest leaving children under 12 at home. No bicycles. No climbing or leaning on fences. For the safety of our canine guests, any damage to fencing must be reported immediately.

  9. Pool & Pond – No humans or dogs permitted in or around the pool. No humans permitted in the pond (dogs welcome!). No throwing of rocks or other objects into the pond (except dog toys). No fishing.

  10. Poop Scoop – You must clean up after your dog anywhere on the premises and surrounding areas, including the fenced area, parking area, and public roadway. Please bring your own baggies and dispose of them in the white can.

  11. Aggression – Dogs that are aggressive toward humans or other dogs are not permitted on the property.

  12. Harassing Ducks or Other Animals – Any dog or human who harasses the ducks or other animals is not welcome and will be removed from the property. In most cases, ducks will be safely penned before your arrival. Please verify this before letting your dog off leash. Please do not feed the ducks or fish without owner approval.

  13. Food; Smoking – No smoking. No littering. No human food permitted. Dog treats are permitted if agreed upon by all handlers present. You must let us know if your dog is prone to food aggression.

  14. Fencing – Fencing is not guaranteed to contain your dog. You are encouraged to examine the perimeter thoroughly before releasing your dog. We strongly recommend practicing recalls (the “come” command) with your dog, both before and during your visits.

  15. Restroom – No facilities available. No access to house. Outhouse not operational. Sorry.

  16. Donations – There is no admission fee to use the play area. If you and your dog enjoyed your visit, please consider making a donation to our Cause of the Month. At the end of the month, 100% of all donations collected will go to a local shelter, rescue group, or other organization that helps animals!
